As part of Rice University’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion乐虎官网网站, we strive to provide all forms of digital information in ways that are accessible to all members of the Rice Community, including those with disabilities.

Overview of Digital Accessibility

Digital accessibility is the degree to which digital information and resources can be accessed and used by as many people as possible, regardless of ability.

Digital information includes information and communication technologies (ICT) such as:

  • Electronic course materials
  • Electronic documents
  • Email and other communications
  • Multimedia
  • Software applications
  • Tables, charts, and maps
  • Web-applications
  • Websites and web pages

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines

Rice has adopted the Worldwide Web Consortium (W3C) , Level AA (WCAG 2.1 AA) as the standard for creating and maintaining accessible digital information.

Purchasing Guidelines
